Hands for Humanity (previously known as ANO) was founded by Umar Iqbal in May 2013.
After an aid journey to Syria to deliver relief to the refugee camps, he realised he could make a difference, here in the UK and worldwide. Through hard work, determination, and a sheer drive to assist those in impoverished areas, he founded ANO.
Born and raised in the disadvantaged neighborhood of Beaumont Leys (Leicester), Umar experienced first-hand, how class divide can affect you and set you back throughout education, growing up, and job-wise Although an entrepreneur in his own right, he was determined to make a difference for those living in poor conditions
